25 Years of IndigoVision

This year IndigoVision are excited to celebrate 25 years in the security industry and as one of our partners we’d like to share some of their guest bloggers thoughts on the security industry.

Kicking off with IndigoVision’s CEO Pedro Simoes…

2019 is an exciting year for IndigoVision as we mark 25 years of developing innovative, complete, end-to-end security surveillance solutions. We are extremely proud to have been in the industry for such a significant amount of time and to have become one of the leading companies within security, celebrating many successes along the way.

In 2001 we introduced one of the world’s first Network Video Recorders (NVRs) to the security industry, this was closely followed with the release of IndigoVision’s Control Center, one of the world’s first scalable VMS. IndigoVision celebrated 10 years in the security industry by providing IP video at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. This innovation continued in 2008 with the launch of our full frame rate guaranteed HD security camera, and then in 2010 IndigoVision became one of the first security company to make our security management solution truly open by allowing third-party cameras and security systems to be seamlessly connected to Control Center. Around 2017 cyber-security became a large trend in the security industry and to aid in making our user’s security installations more cyber-secure IndigoVision unveiled its award-winning innovative technology, CyberVigilant®. With the ability to monitor and detect system anomalies CyberVigilant® provides a quick response to potential cyber-threats by notifying users in the Control Center interface. Following the success of this launch, we released the same technology in selected IndigoVision cameras to provide an extra layer of support.

With so many achievements the IndigoVision team and I are very excited to be developing other exciting innovative technologies which will continue to keep us at the forefront of the security industry. At IndigoVision we always strive to give you the right solution, experience, technology, and support to provide you with the innovation that makes you safe.

Finally, I would like to give thanks to all our partners, distributors, end users, and staff for the continued support, it is fantastic. I’m looking forward to the celebrations continuing in the years to come.
