We are incredibly thrilled to announce that our very own Danuta Plewa has been promoted internally to Warehouse Supervisor here at QED!

Within her new role, Danuta will be working closely with Mark, our Warehouse Manager, to further assist in the running of the warehouse. We’re so proud of this announcement, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to excel in this role.

Danuta’s QED Journey

Danuta joined QED in 2021 as a temp, during an incredibly busy period for us. Her hard-work and dedication in her role spoke volumes, and before long, she became a full-time member of the warehouse team.

During her time as a warehouse operative, she has achieved a forklift certification, and generated a wealth of knowledge about our products to help our customers.

Her level of organisation, planning, ‘can do’ attitude, and her bubbly personality are just a few reasons why she is adored here at QED.

On her promotion, Danuta said:

“This is an amazing opportunity for the next stage of my career and I’m so excited to get started in my new role. Our team in the warehouse play such an important role in the everyday running of the business at QED, and I’m delighted my hard work and dedication has been recognised for this promotion.

I work closely with the best team of people, and I can’t wait to continue doing so for many years to come.’’

“It’s so rewarding promoting people from within here at QED. Since day one, Danuta has shown how hardworking and passionate she is. When the Warehouse Supervisor role became available, I knew she was the perfect fit.

She makes every day working together an absolute joy. I’m so proud of what she has achieved so far, and I can’t wait to see what else she will accomplish in the future.’’

It’s important never to forget where you’ve come from and after 25 years our very first warehouse space was in a garage, back in 1997, where our journey started.

As you can see it was organised chaos, but it was an important steppingstone in allowing us to scale to where we are today.

From humble beginnings, we are now celebrating 25 years in business.

Co-founders Ian Smith and David Arrowsmith said:

”This is an incredible milestone for any company. The business has achieved this success through the hard work, passion, and dedication of our team members and loyal customers.

In 2020, we made the decision to retire and hand over the reins to Matt Philp who has continued to strengthen existing relationships and make improvements on our strict distribution procedures and attention to detail; and our culture of customer service that exists throughout the entire company.

We have dedicated ourselves to 25 years of introducing security products and business process improvements and efficiencies to provide our customers with the highest quality solutions and services.”

Matt Philp, Managing Director, said:

”It has been a pleasure to work alongside such great guys over the last couple of decades they have truly built a great business and we will continue to grow on the strong foundations they have created.

Throughout 2022, we have been looking back at where we started, what we have achieved, and what our plans are for the future. In the summer, we celebrated by inviting all our employees to a fantastic day out to celebrate this incredible milestone. We believe a team that celebrates together stays together and everyone enjoyed the celebrations with the highlight being clay pigeon shooting!

It’s been a tough few years for everyone and we are here to help in our small way, and we look forward to celebrating the next 25 years.”
