Regional Sales Manager

QED is a family run northwest CCTV Security distributor based in Preston with over 26 years’ experience in this sector. We deal with national installers who supply the supermarket, retail and education sectors.

We currently have a vacancy for a high-performing Regional Sales Manager based in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing our sales potential, managing our sales team as well as some key accounts whilst providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge support.

You will be part of an expanding team and benefits will include a competitive salary (£40-£43k DOE) + commission package, company, mobile phone, laptop, 31 x days annual leave (including BH), extra holiday for your birthday and private pension scheme.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Achieving growth by increasing the sales of the QED brands
  • Achieving sales of our strategic partner brands
  • Working alongside our Digital Marketing & SD/MD to design and implement a business plan that expands customer base to ensure strong presence within the machine tools market
  • Building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs

You should have:

2 x Area Sales Manager

QED is a family run northwest CCTV Security distributor based in Preston with over 26 years’ experience in this sector. We deal with national installers who supply the supermarket, retail and education sectors.

We are looking to employ two driven and experienced Area Sales Managers to increase sales within an assigned geographical area (ideally Top of M25 Milton Keynes or Luton post codes covering M25 London & surrounding areas). The area sales manager’s responsibilities include developing new and existing business, delivering presentations to potential and existing customers and preparing concise sales reports. You should also be able to develop as well as modify customer frequency plans as needed.

To be successful as an area sales manager, you should be committed to driving sales and adept at managing your territory effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding area sales manager should demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, customer service skills always, and engaging and converting installers to buy from QED.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing, training, and providing overall guidance customer accounts of an assigned territory
  • Setting reasonable sales targets to grow your customer base

Internal Sales Executive

QED is a family run northwest CCTV Security distributor based in Preston with over 26 years’ experience in this sector. We deal with national installers who supply the supermarket, retail and education sectors.

As a sales executive, you are responsible for looking after existing accounts by keeping in regular contact with our customers and ensuring we are meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations. You are also responsible for finding and developing new business and enhancing/increasing account spend for all accounts. This role requires you to provide an unrivalled level of customer care and the ability to work towards targets.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Achieve ISM weekly & monthly KPI’s
  • Set S.M.A.R.T Objectives
  • Focusing on generating new business whilst maintaining and developing the existing account base
  • Manage a set number of key accounts per month which may change over time
  • On a weekly basis review current spending and none spending accounts
  • To know who your top spending clients are and analyse the buying patterns
  • Introduce new products to existing accounts and try and tempt old customers with a tailored approach
  • Develop new accounts using all methods available. Maintain existing accounts using management information available
  • Achieve total customer base GM% and budget KPI’s
  • To attend client meetings when required by management
  • Chase up sales enquiries by E-mail and phone, delivering a minimum number of calls per week

Sales Order Processor

As a Sales Order Processor your core objective is to give second to none customer care and make it a great buying experience for all our customers. This role is an extension of the sales and operational team. You will contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of Sales orders, service calls, returns and any customer related stock movements. These are to be processed in line with customers’ delivery requirements to meet or exceed their expectations.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Accurately processing customer orders and liaising with customers to resolve any queries

  • Co-ordinating with the Purchasing Department for pricing and availability of stock and timescales

Purchasing Manager/Buyer (Maternity Cover)

The role will be to run the Purchasing department by initially supporting the Purchasing Manager then covering maternity leave from later in the year, providing an outstanding service to all of QED’s customers and colleagues.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing and controlling all the company’s external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of materials
  • Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and establish strategic relationships with key suppliers who are aligned to the company’s needs
  • Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates
  • Foster close working relationships with associated departments e.g. Sales and Warehouse
  • Continually improve purchasing methods and drive down external spend
  • To carry out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology and identify and implement improvements
  • Full involvement specifically with technical and sales departments on the evaluation of new and existing materials. This will include identifying current and future trends in the global market place

Personal Competences, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a business related subject preferable
  • CIPS qualified
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in a Purchasing role
  • 5 years supervisory experience

Digital Marketing Executive

As a Digital Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the marketing performance – including creating the marketing plan, and then managing that plan through to delivery and evaluation. Your role will include responsibility for all channels, including the relevant websites, organic and paid search, social media, direct mail and email, PR, events.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building, executing, and perfecting the social media strategy, iterating through a test and learn approach from brief through to production of assets to reporting. the purchase of materials

  • Growing audiences and encouraging engagement, through different content streams from video to UGC
  • Managing scheduling, publishing, and workflow across all platforms, in line with the marketing calendar
  • Working directly with the marketing, sales & customer services teams to ensure that responses for customer queries are actioned within agreed timeframe
  • Pulling data from on and off platform analytics, reacting to insights and presenting findings to senior team members
  • Tracking key competitor activity and adjusting plans as necessary
  • Developing and expanding community and/or influencer outreach efforts and build relationships with key influencers
  • Working with CRM to ensure that the opportunities for prospect conversion and customer retention are being maximised

Buyer

The Buyer will form an integral part of the Purchasing function by supporting the Purchasing Manager and providing an outstanding service to all of QED’s customers and colleagues.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • The daily back-to-back purchasing of non-stocked items required for customer’s orders ensuring stock is bought at the right price and delivered on time
  • Contacting suppliers and obtaining the most competitive prices for the Sales team to produce customer quotation
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding orders/delivery dates and pricing ensuring that the database is up to date
  • Regularly liaise with and update the Sales team and Warehouse as to the expected delivery dates of goods
  • Discuss and resolve stock shortages and stock availability with suppliers
  • Identify new suppliers to make savings or increase quality of either services or products to QED and its customers
  • Liaise with suppliers, Warehouse and Accounts regarding delivery and invoice discrepancies
  • Database administration to input, update and correct product and supplier information
  • Carry out various administrative tasks

Personal Competences, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a procurement role
  • High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, as a minimum)
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Continuous self-development
  • SAP/SAGE200/ORACLE/REFLEX etc warehouse management systems experience would be advantageous
  • CIPS qualified would be beneficial
