Every year, we vote for different charities so that every member of staff receives the opportunity to choose a charity that is meaningful to them.

Specifically to 2017, we have voted for the three following charities:

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports world class cancer treatment throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria. Furthermore, The Foundation aims to work in partnership with local clinical staff to achieve the best possible care for cancer patients in Lancashire and South Cumbria, wherever they are treated. North West Air Ambulance

North West Air Ambulance brings advanced healthcare to the scene of an incident. Also, it is funded by the generosity of the public through fundraising activities, donations and their network of retail outlets who provide vital charitable funding to keep the service flying. Also, they ensure that patients are transferred quickly and efficiently to the best place of treatment. This is to improve chances of survival and reduce the risk of long term injury. Parkinson’s UK

One person in every 500 has Parkinson’s. That’s about 127,000 people in the UK. The symptoms are different for everyone, and how quickly they progress are also different for everyone. Although there is currently no cure, drugs and treatments are available to manage many of the symptoms. Every donation will help gain more research. Fundraising for our Charities

Throughout the year, we will host small buffets, BBQ’s and staff events in aid of our chosen charities for the year. Last year, we hosted a BBQ Fundraiser. Our upcoming event is the Manchester 10K Run at the end of May, so look out for updates and pictures of the QED staff surrounding the day!
